One of the key lessons I’ve learned in the past few years is that it is always worth stepping back and asking: what’s the point of this work? How will it contribute to a better future for those affected? I considered these questions in relation to the situation in North Korea by considering which fields of international law might hold the future to a better life for everyday North Koreans.
